Hornet Selected for TiEcon 2024 Global Connect
Hornet was selected to attend TiEcon 2024, held in Silicon Valley, USA from May 1 to May 4, 2024.
The Global Connect Program, one of the key pillars of the LEAP AHEAD initiative by STPI - Software Technology Parks of India in collaboration with TiE Silicon Valley and TiE Delhi-NCR, selected 23 promising startups from India. Hornet was grateful to be one of them.
The vision of Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Arvind Kumar made it clear that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is committed to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship with serious intent.
Special thanks to Subodh Sachan, Amit Verma, Dr. Abhay Bhadani, and Shelly Sharma for working tirelessly to make sure the startups had support at the conference and guidance at every step.
It was the biggest learning experience of my life to date as an entrepreneur.
The startup bootcamp by Naeem Zafar taught the essence of entrepreneurship and fundraising, clearing doubts from fellow entrepreneurs with precision and humour. Round table discussions with Vince Kohli and Durgam Vahia offered sharp insight on improving the pitch and course-correcting strategy.
Lena Kannappan shared stories from pioneering work in identity management and mentored me on the cybersecurity roadmap. Aloke Bhandia took deep interest in Hornet, listened to every nuance of its complexity, and helped drill the problem down to its core. Mukul Agarwal helped me sharpen an exemplary 45-second introduction.
It felt like a university semester wrapped into four days, but I was just getting warmed up.
Made friends in this world of learning, and I could not be happier.
