India-Africa ICT Expo 2025 in Cairo

I had the opportunity to be part of the India-Africa ICT Expo 2025 in Cairo, Egypt, organised by the Telecom Equipment & Services Export Promotion Council with support from the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India.
The event brought together companies and ecosystem stakeholders working across telecom, ICT, secure networks, digital infrastructure, software, smart city systems, and emerging technology. It was a useful window into how India and African markets can collaborate beyond transactional export conversations, through long-term partnerships, deployment experience, and practical capacity building.
What stood out most was the scale of the opportunity. Many regions are building the next layer of digital infrastructure, and Indian technology companies have a meaningful role to play when they combine strong engineering with patience, local context, and reliability on the ground.
For a founder, such platforms are valuable because they expand the way you see markets. Infrastructure, policy, trust, security, and readiness do not move separately; they meet in the real world. Cairo was a good reminder of that.
Grateful to TEPC and the Government of India for creating a platform where Indian companies and startups can explore international collaboration.
