Hornet’s work was featured in The Telegraph’s Business section, creating a moment to reflect on the journey from childhood curiosity about electronics to building crypto forensics technology for real investigations.
The post traced the path from tinkering with circuits and PCBs in Adra, to a software engineering career, to leaving Imperva in late 2022 to build toward a sharper mission: defending people’s financial security against cybercrime.
Hornet’s early product work, STPI CHUNAUTI 5.0 recognition, support from IDEAS Technology Innovation Hub at Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata, and later institutional adoption all became part of that story.
The coverage mattered because it showed that deep technology for cybercrime investigation can be built from Kolkata and still earn national attention.
